Baby-palooza

10 years ago we brought our 6 pound 8 oz. bundle of joy home from the hospital to our 680 sq.ft apartment. As we all took turns ooshing and awwing at him, it's almost comical to see the scene now here at the Taylor house. Babies everywhere! It almost feels like trading baseball cards when you were younger. "Hey I have a 10 month old, want to swap for a 2 month old? He's in great condition, just changed him." Just in this past year, 3 of Rhett's sisters and myself were all pregnant at the same time. Even then it didn't dawn on me till this visit that "oh wait, there are a lot of babies at the same time, how did that happen?" I guess when you are pregnant you are mainly focused on your own discomfort and oblivious to the upcoming baby-'splosion. It really is such a treat. So many kids, so much fun good commotion. We attempted a family portrait yesterday that I would consider a success. Trying to get a good picture of 22 people (only half of them being adults) is not only a sizeable task, but downright hilarious at moments. Imagine how silly you sound getting one child to be happy for a picture and then times that by 11! Funny stuff.
There's always enough hands to hold one, and when in doubt we refer to Ben, Lisa's husband who is the unofficial child wrangler. (i.e., the one who let's the kids crawl all over and abuse him as needed. "You're acting wild, go play with Ben..")

It's stuff like this that reminds you what's it's all about.
